Join the Guilford community to celebrate more than 200 students receiving bachelor's and master's degrees at Commencement in the College's 189th year Saturday, May 9, at 9 am on the academic quad (weather permitting). Many activities are planned leading up to Commencement Day.

Nearly $1.3 million was contributed.


Our Guilford Madness campaign concluded with $1.286 million contributed by 616 donors, surpassing its 2026 goal, more than doubling last year’s total and setting a new record for a spring giving campaign at the College.

Erick Trejo Velazquez ’26 and his retro smartwatch were one of 91 presenters at the College’s annual symposium at Hege Library, where student projects — equal parts curiosity and academic research — turned imagination into something you could see, touch, discuss and, in Erick’s case, wear. A willingness to say yes — to new people, new challenges, new versions of herself — has been the heartbeat of Zaria Porter’s ’27 college experience at Guilford. “Here, I didn’t know anyone, and that made it easier to try new things. No one had expectations of me. I could just be open,” she says. For Zaria, that openness has paid back tenfold.

Conservation easement will forever preserve Guilford Woods' natural state


An easement resulting from a Piedmont Land Conservancy fundraising campaign over the next two years will protect about 120 acres from future development.
